The CFA Society of Iowa, Inc., was founded in 1965 to foster the interchange of information and opinions among investment professionals, to encourage a high standard of ethics and sound professional standards of investment management and research, and to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
The CFA Society of Iowa is a volunteer-based organization of local portfolio managers, security analysts, investment advisors and other financial professionals.

CFA Society of Iowa Scholarships Awarded
The CFA Society of Iowa is pleased to announce that Arun Poddar and Chris Irwin have been selected to receive scholarships for the December Level I Exam. The scholarship covers the CFA Program enrollment fee, and winners also receive a discount on their exam registration fee.
Milt Milloy, Director of CFA Programs, commented that the scholarship committee’s decision was difficult with a number of strong applications. The society will offer additional scholarships for the June 2011 exam, so candidates should watch this website in December for the application and additional information about those scholarships.
University of Iowa Students Compete in the Global Investment Research Challenge
Twenty-eight teams from around the globe recently competed in New York in the Global Investment Research Challenge organized by the CFA Institute. The CFA Society of Iowa sponsored a team from The University of Iowa in the Challenge.
