The CFA Society of Iowa would like to invite you to participate in the Members' annual golf outing held on Thursday, June 26th at Echo Valley Country Club starting at 12:30 pm.  Non-golfing Society Members are also welcome to join the group for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at Echo Valley Country Club starting at 5:15 pm.

   At the request of Society Members last year, golf teams this year will consist of corporate golfers where Society Members from one company may form foursomes or ask other Society Members to join them to form a foursome.  Individual Society Members are encouraged to participate and will be equitably paired together.  For further information, please read the two pages of the attached file.

Details:

Teams of current or past Society Members only (all CFA Levels are welcome).  Members may form an individual foursome from their company or invite other Society Members to become a foursome with them or be willing to be equitably paired with other Members into a team. Golf format will be a Shambles Best Ball with three or four of the golfer scores counting toward a total team score. Carts and beverages will be provided on the course.  Prizes, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will follow the competition in the Clubhouse.

For single golfing Members, equitable foursome pairings will be assigned by average golf scores.  Single golfing Members should provide your expected average score (e.g., 90, 100 etc. you might consistently score on 18 holes) with your RSVP. Directions and Attire:

Echo Valley Country Club is located in Norwalk, Iowa on the south side of Des Moines.  The Clubhouse can be reached from downtown by driving south on Fleur Drive past the Des Moines Airport and Radisson Hotel business park to Echo Valley Drive.  Turn right or west on Echo Valley Drive and proceed over the Highway 5 Bypass about one mile.  If you reach the Highway 5 Bypass, you have missed Echo Valley Drive.  Echo Valley Country Club is located on the left (south) side of the road and may be contacted at 285-7355.

From West Des Moines, suggest you proceed as if traveling to the Des Moines Airport.  Take I-35 South to the Highway 5 Bypass and travel East.  Exit the Highway 5 Bypass and turn North on Fleur Drive.  Look for Echo Valley Drive as the first intersection after crossing the Highway 5 Bypass bridge.  Turn left or west and proceed on Echo Valley Drive over the Highway 5 Bypass about one mile.  Echo Valley Country Club is located on the left (south) side of the road and may be contacted at 285-7355.

Clubhouse locker room facilities are available to change into golf attire.  Echo Valley Country Club requests guests wear proper golf attire (i.e., collared shirts with sleeves but no jeans, t-shirts or tank or tube tops) as well as have “soft spikes” in golf shoes on the course.
