U.S. Homebuilding

 

Robert P. Curran is a managing director in the industrials department of Fitch Ratings' corporates group. Robert analyzes the homebuilding and building products industries.
Prior to joining Fitch, Robert was part of Merrill Lynch and Co. as a senior industry specialist, where his responsibilities encompassed equity securities research, investment consultation, and investment banking activities, principally in the building and construction sector but also for select printing, chemicals, imaging, and specialty retailing companies.
Robert received his BA in economics at Boston College and an MBA in marketing at Columbia University. He is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts, the CFA Institute, and the Society for Imaging Science and Technology. He was recognized by Institutional Investor, Greenwich Research, and The Wall Street Journal as “Best on the Street” for four of the last five years while at Merrill Lynch.
Robert is considered a leading source of industry information by trade journals and national financial publications, such as The Wall Street Journal and Business Week, frequently participates in industry conferences and regularly took part in Wall Street Transcript Roundtables and as a keynote speaker at certain industry conferences, including the Wall Street Analyst Forum.
